Ink painter Lim Tze Peng (born 1923) was awarded the Singapore Cultural Medallion in 2003, and is well known for his paintings on the vanishing old shop houses and buildings of Singapore. This study of 3 women washing clothes was acquired at a group exhibition by members of the Singapore Federation of Artists in the mid-1990s.
