Artwork Details

Kim Lim (1936 to 1997) was born in Singapore. She studied at St Martin and Slade School of Art in London. She lived in the U.K most of her career and is married to British sculptor and painter William Turnbull. Lim works mostly in prints and also sculptures. Her prints are easily recognised by their simple and quiet lines, and colours. Her works can be found in many private and public collections including the Singapore National Art Gallery. In 1999, the Singapore Art Museum paid tribute to Kim Lim by organising a major solo exhibition of her lifetime works, including publishing a hard cover catalogue of the show.

This original silkscreen print is a good example of Lim's oeuvre. (Note: There is a sister work in our stock of the same dimension and series which is not listed here.)
